Record it messy.Post it clean.

Glass is a screen recorder for Mac that edits while you talk. Seconds after you hit Stop, your messy take is a demo.

A real take of a demo app, recorded at 1:12 AM.

Ledger's dashboard, the first screen of the take

Takes 1 to 6 are in the Trash.

The first 18 seconds: “Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.” And the demo hasn't even started yet.

Sixteen seconds looking for one invoice.

The cursor's real path, 1:38 to 1:55. Glass marked it while the take was still going.

Ledger's export dialog: Matching payments to invoices, 24%

“Okay, it's… doing its thing.” Fifteen seconds later: “Any second now.” Then everyone watches your spinner.

And there's your live API key. In Retina.

Wrapping up, you say “Yeah, that's the app.” Then “Yeah, that is my app. Hope you like it. Bye-bye.”

Most people would record it again.

Glass was editing the whole time.

3:06 recorded. 1:34 to post.Ready seconds after you hit Stop.

  1. Zooms in on what you click, and lights up the click.
  2. Covers the emails and keys it spots. It looks like a soft blur, but nothing under it can be read back.
  3. Captions from what you said.
  4. Cleans up your mic.as recordedafter Glass
  5. And that's the frame Glass actually rendered.

Here's how it starts.

The first 30 seconds of the 1:34 it made from that take. Nothing re-recorded, nothing cut by hand.

What you post 1:34

It won't be perfect, so just tell it what to change.

Glass-chan

You: keep the “got the money” bit

Glass-chan: Put back “Oh, nice. Got the money.” right before the end.

  • Added clip at 1:33

You: make the zooms less aggressive

Glass-chan: Toned down 6 zooms to 1.5×.

  • Changed 6 zooms

Go to bed.

The take you rambled through is the demo.

Before the launch

  • Record it again

The details

What does it cost?
Free gives you AI editing for about 10 minutes of recordings a month, and its exports carry a small “Made with Glass” mark. Starter is $20 $10 a month, or $180 $90 a year, with AI editing for about 90 minutes of recordings a month and no watermark. Pro is $40 $20 a month, or $360 $180 a year, with AI editing for about 300 minutes of recordings a month. AI usage covers editing, chat and voiceover. Those are early-access prices, half the usual, offered while early access lasts. Subscribe during it and you keep yours for as long as you stay subscribed. Payments are non-refundable, but if something went wrong, email support@glasseditor.app. We may grant a refund case by case.
What does it export?
An MP4: H.264 at 30 frames a second, with all the sound mixed into one stereo track. Free exports 720p (1280 × 720); paid plans export 1080p (1920 × 1080). No GIF yet.
Does it record my Mac's sound?
Yes. Mac audio is on by default and goes on its own track. Glass leaves its own sounds out.
Which microphone?
Your Mac's default input (pick it in System Settings). You can mute it before a take and unmute it during one.
Can I record one window, or another display?
A whole display (you choose which, if you have more than one) or a single window. Not part of the screen, and not two displays at once.
Does it work offline?
Once you're signed in, you can record, edit by hand and export offline. The AI edit, the chat and voiceovers need the internet: offline you keep the quick draft Glass makes on your Mac.
Which Macs?
macOS 15.2 or later, on Apple silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs aren't supported.

What Glass did to this take: 31 s of false start: cut. Said it twice: kept the second one. 16 s looking for one invoice: cut. 8 s export spinner: played at 4x. 12 s scrolling around Settings: cut. The second goodbye: cut. Three pauses, one 3 s gap: sped up and trimmed. It also zoomed in on the clicks, covered the emails and keys on screen, added captions and chapters, and cleaned up the mic.
