What Glass will ask for, and why
macOS asks you once for each of these. You can change your mind any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.
Screen Recording · The first time you hit Record
So Glass can record the window or screen you pick. It only records while you are recording.
Microphone · When you turn the microphone on
So your voice is in the video. Record without it and use a voiceover instead, if you like.
Accessibility · Optional, when you turn on click labels
So Glass knows what you clicked (a button's name, for example) and can zoom in and label it. It reads what is under your clicks, never what you type.
Camera · Optional, only if you turn the camera on
So your webcam can appear in the corner of the video.
Your recording stays on your Mac. Read exactly what is sent where in the privacy policy.
